just a wee-little update. so I have a bit part in a low budget horror film. I am super excited for it. I will be playing the part of, bartender. So I only have like 10 lines, but hey, you gotta start out somewhere right? in other news I woke up with my first hang over of the summer this morning. sick as a dog, but a good 8 hours of drinking tends to do that to people. we all know my tolerance level, or lack there of it rather, so 8 or so shots 4 long beach teas, numerous beers plus a few, um, “smokes” makes for one very sick the next day Kaci. But it was the Violent Femmes, whom I adore! so it was worth it. totally!

also, I hate my job.

also, my dog is a complete asshole. but I still love him, mainly because he has a fluffy butt.

also, my car is turning into a piece, but it does have over 100,000 miles so I guess that kind of stuff happens. this makes me sad.

Summer is only 2 days away, so I pause from case law to write a to do list:

• take a vacay (somewhere, anywhere, but I really really really need one)
• read order of the phoenix and half blood prince before diving into number 7
• see Reel Big Fish
• teach Ziggy some manners
• See my chicas much more
• make new friends
• enjoy more sangria

ok that’s all I’ve got so far, but hey it’s a start…only 2 more days, only 2 more days ::chants::

procrastination is such a whore! but on a better note amy lee came up this week if only for a wee bit. we had plans to see chuck palhuink(sp?) but they fell through when some not so informed guy didn’t tell me that you needed to buy his new book to get it signed and that you needed a ticket to see him speak, of which there were only 300. booo, misinformation about great authors. hooray beer! (done in jamcaian (shit i can’t spell) accent) on to my paper about feminists and pornography.

so, Reel Big Fish are going on tour with Less than Jake this summer, and the tour is coming to Columbus! how incredibly awesome right? well, as it would turn out, Jason is the groomsman in a wedding in Marion on the same day. dreams crushed? hopefully not, I am going to try to go to the concert in the nasty Nati’ the day before.  then you know, drive 3 hours or so to Marion after? oh man. but I haven’t seen RBF in almost 2 years! this is only because both trips to see them last summer were postponed by unfortunate hospital visits. I am making it my vow not to miss them again! unless you know I can’t make it for whatever reason.

week six is such a bummer. this means not only do we have 5 more weeks to go but an addtional finals week as well. yuck. I want out of school, but I don’t want to join the real world either. Why can’t life be an eternal summer break? enough whining and back to abortion politics (double yuck!)

I tried to go to class today, really. but the parking garage was full and by the time i realized it i would have been way late anyways…and they probably would have been talking about how to say something that is completely irrevelant in arabic. by the way even if i finish out 4 quarters of this language, i will not be fluent, i may be semi-proficent but not fluent. well, hell what am i taking it for? sometimes i wish i went into architechture, only i’m pretty sure that’s not how you spell it and i should probably be able to spell my major. still, i think it would have been pretty cool. eh, too late now. it looks like i’m going to be a lawyer or something, you know slave to the man kinda thing. or even worse, i could become the man. well, metaphorically anyway, i don’t see a sex change anytime soon. or ever really. i gotta admit i love having boobs. it’s true, they get you so much farther than a penis, and they are a lot prettier.

so it’s nice out, and i’m glad, i’m sick of ohio weather, clearly God did not intend for people to live here, otherwise he wouldn’t spite us like he does. besides homo sapiens are tropically adapted animals, we don’t belong in the cold! serioulsly going to move to california or maybe mexico. donde esta el bano, como se dice whatever. I’m golden.  soy oro!

women’s studies is calling my name, i have to write a paper about why i am privelaged. it’s three pages. it’ll take half an hour. oh how i love 100 level classes.  hope every one is having a good day. and prayers to Va Tech!

So the bucks got owned…agian, by flordia. at this point it would be safe to say that if a hurricane hit gainsville and wiped out the whole university, i may chuckle. that maybe a bit harsh but, man do i hate the gators. especially that noah douche.

but, otherwise life is good. it is a beautiful day and i think i may have a margarita date with jason a wee bit later.  so far i for the most part like all of my classes this quarter, my women’s studies prof. is a little too energetic at 9:30 in the morning but at least the class is interesting. i find that i have suddenly taken a great interest in the sufferage movement. i was unaware of all the facets that it took. of course every one knows susan b. anthony(hell she even had her own dollar for a bit) and elizabeth caty stanton, but discovering all the other countless sufferagetes (sp?) and what they went through to move politically even though they had no real power is quite remarkale! but i will say this, arabic is stupid. the plural in that language is ridiculous. i mean english has it’s moments, like mouse turns to mice and what not, but every noun in the entire language changes completely in the plural, and there are no general rules to it. it just changes. so along with learning the noun you have to learn it’s corresponding plural form. ugh!! and the whole reverse gender agreement is stupid too. but i will admit i feel pretty cool when i write and speak in arabic. although more often than not my brain digs down to the spanish reserves and it comes out as a kind of sparabic or aranish or something. but to be fair many of the words spoken in modern arabic take a spanishesque as well as frenchish form due to cultural pairings of the languages (the moor invasion and ruling of the iberian pennisula and french colonization). but i hope you’re all having a wonderful afternoon!!
